ERP for packaging and printing companies

A tailor-made ERP for packaging and printing companies that prices each job by substrate, colours and quantity, follows it through samples, pre-press, printing and finishing, and tracks delivery and collection. Revenue, cost and profit or loss are measured for every order, and tested samples and material-efficient structural design reduce board and print waste before a job runs.

What does a printing and packaging ERP need to handle?

A printing and packaging ERP is the system that takes a job from quote to delivery: it calculates the price from substrate, colours, format, finishing and quantity, then follows the job through pre-press, printing, post-press and dispatch. Every order keeps its own costs, so the margin of each job is known once it is delivered. Our team has worked in the graphic sector and knows how these jobs move through a print shop.

From quote to delivered job

The platform follows each job through the steps a printer or packaging maker recognises:

  • Customers: customer records with business type, classification and ranking, plus the history of jobs and prices quoted.
  • Quotes by job: estimates built from substrate or board grade, number of colours, print run, format, finishing and quantity breaks, using your own price tables and machine costs.
  • Design and samples: structural designs, artwork versions and printed samples are tracked per job, with customer approval recorded before production starts.
  • Pre-press: proofs, plates, cutting dies and moulds are planned, and their status is visible to the whole team.
  • Production status: each job shows where it stands in printing, die-cutting, gluing or other finishing, together with quality checks and warehouse volume.
  • Delivery and collection: delivery scheduling and tracking, followed by invoicing and payment collection.

Margin per job, less waste

Because the quote, the purchase of board and inks, production time and delivery sit on the same order, the platform compares estimated and actual cost and shows revenue, cost and profit or loss per job and per customer. Repeat jobs can be quoted from previous ones, and tested samples and efficient structural design help keep board and print waste down before a job goes on press. Over time, the gap between quoted and actual cost shows which job types and customers are worth pursuing.

How we build it

Each platform is built around your own workflow, machines and terminology, not a generic print template. It connects through APIs to the certified invoicing or accounting software you already use, and to tools such as email or a customer ordering portal where that helps. Live dashboards show open quotes, jobs in production and deliveries due. The platform is designed, built and supported by our team in Sintra, so you talk directly to the people who build it.
