What is a business dashboard?
A business dashboard is a screen that shows an organisation's key figures in one place, updated automatically from the systems where the data is created. Instead of exporting spreadsheets and assembling reports each month, managers open one view and see sales, costs, stock or service levels as they are today.
A good dashboard answers a few questions well: are we on target, what changed, and where should we look next. Each chart can lead to the detail behind it, down to the order, invoice or production run.
Connected to your own data
We connect the dashboard directly to your sources: your ERP or management software, accounting and invoicing packages, spreadsheets and shared files, databases, webshop and CRM platforms, and external APIs. Data is pulled in on a schedule or in real time, cleaned and combined, so the same figure means the same thing in every report. Where a source has no API, a regular file import can fill the gap. Calculations such as margin, stock value or target achievement are defined once with your finance team and reused in every view.
Which reports can it include?
- Management KPIs: revenue, margin, cash position and targets per month, team or branch.
- Sales and customers: pipeline, orders, top products and customers, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Operations: stock levels, production output, delivery times and open orders.
- Alerts and exports: notifications when a value crosses a threshold, scheduled PDF or Excel reports, and API access for other tools.
Role-based access means each user sees only the figures that concern them, from the board to a single store or department.
How we build it
Each dashboard is designed with you, around the decisions your team actually makes and the terminology it already uses. We build it in the same stack as our web applications, connect it through APIs to the software you already run, and keep it running with support from our team in Sintra. It can start with one screen and grow as new data sources and questions come up.
Dashboards are part of every tailor-made ERP platform, for example in mechanical production or retail. To track customer experience next to your other KPIs, see our NPS dashboard, and to put live figures on a wall screen, digital signage. Contact us to discuss your data.
