ERP for construction and job management

A tailor-made ERP for construction companies that follows every job from estimate to handover. Projects are broken into categories and tasks, item estimates set the budget, and the platform compares budget with actual cost as purchases, crews, subcontractors and progress measurements come in. Civil, industrial and infrastructure works stay under control in one system.

What does a construction ERP need to handle?

A construction ERP is a management platform that follows every job from estimate to handover: budget, purchasing, labour, subcontractors and progress in one place. Its core task is to show, at any moment, what each site was expected to cost and what it is really costing. Planning, progress billing and reporting all build on that comparison.

In practice this needs a job structure the whole company shares. Each job is broken into chapters, categories and tasks down to the smallest parts, and every task carries item estimates for materials, labour and equipment. Those estimates become the budget that purchases, timesheets and subcontractor invoices are booked against.

Job costing, progress measurement and crews

The platform can include:

  • Budget vs actual per job: costs are booked per site and per task, so overruns show up while there is still time to react.
  • Progress measurements: periodic measurement of the work done per item, the basis for progress billing to the client and for checking subcontractor claims.
  • Purchasing and materials per site: requests, orders and deliveries linked to the job and task they belong to, which keeps over-ordering and leftover material in check.
  • Subcontractors: contracted scope, agreed prices, measured work and payments per subcontractor and per job.
  • Crews and planning: who works on which site and task, with hours booked to the job and a deployment plan that keeps the schedule realistic.
  • Safety and site documents: checklists, inspections and documents stored with the job they belong to.

How we build it

Every construction company works differently: one builds homes for private owners, another bids for public infrastructure works, a third does industrial fit-outs. We build the platform around your own workflow and terminology instead of forcing a standard package on the team. It connects through APIs to the certified invoicing and accounting software your company already uses, so measurements and costs reach billing without retyping. Live dashboards show margin, progress and open commitments per job for management, and site managers can get screens designed for a tablet or phone on site. The platform is designed, built and supported by our team in Sintra, Portugal.
