What does a fashion and garment ERP need to handle?
A fashion and garment ERP is the system that connects collections, samples, customer orders and production in one flow, down to every size and colour of every style. It turns an order into fabric and trim requirements, cutting and sewing orders and delivery dates, and shows the cost and margin of each order. For a garment maker working with its own lines and subcontracted workshops, it replaces the spreadsheets that usually hold that information together.
From collection to finished garment
The platform follows the way a garment company actually works:
- Collections and samples: each style is recorded with its season, technical sheet, sample versions and approval status.
- Size and colour matrices: orders, stock and production are kept per style, size and colour, so every order quantity is broken down correctly across the grid.
- Estimates and material norms: production norms set fabric, lining and trim consumption per size, which feeds both the order estimate and procurement.
- Cutting and sewing orders: an order is split into cutting orders and sewing orders, with progress followed through overlocking, finishing and ironing.
- Subcontracted workshops: work sent to external workshops is tracked with quantities out and back, agreed prices and due dates, so outsourced sewing does not disappear from view.
- Quality and packaging: finished garments are inspected, NG errors are recorded, and packaging specifications and deliveries are followed per customer.
Margins and material per order
Because estimates, procurement, workshop costs and invoices sit on the same order, the platform can show revenue, cost and profit or loss per order and per customer. Comparing planned and actual fabric use helps reduce offcuts, and a clear view of stock per size and colour helps avoid deadstock at the end of a season. Questions such as which styles to reorder or which workshop delivers on time can be answered from the data instead of from memory.
How we build it
We build each platform around your own workflow and terminology, whether you produce your own collections, manufacture for brands, or both. It connects through APIs to the certified invoicing or accounting software you already use, and to your webshop where that makes sense. Live dashboards show orders, production status and workshop progress at a glance. The platform is designed, built and supported by our team in Sintra, so you talk directly to the people who build it.
