ERP for mechanical production and machining
Every Order Becomes a Job Order
Less Over-Ordering and Scrap
Schedule, Machines and Inventory
Recorded at Each Stage
Order requirements become technical design drawings.
Single, mass or bulk production is selected.
The blank and the way it is formed are chosen.
The sequence of machining operations is set.
Machines and tooling are assigned to each step.
Material allowances for machining are calculated.
Finished parts are inspected and recorded as OK, NG or Rework.
Create a production order to assign work to the factory.
The bill of materials and equipment needed to produce the product.
Production stages and the resources for each stage.
Plan according to orders and the production schedule.
Statistics on the output of semi-finished and finished products.
Check completed products and record OK, NG or Rework.

What does an ERP for mechanical production need to handle?
An ERP for mechanical production is a management platform that turns customer orders into job orders, bills of materials and routings, then schedules the work on the machines and records output and quality. It links the office, where orders and drawings arrive, to the shop floor, where parts are machined and checked. Planners and managers work from one version of the truth about orders, materials and machine capacity.
From order to inspected part
Machining shops plan each part in the same broad sequence, and the platform follows it:
- Design drawings: order requirements become technical drawings, stored with the order and its revisions.
- Type of production: single parts, small series or mass production, each with its own planning logic.
- Blank and method: the raw material, blank size and manufacturing method are chosen and kept in the bill of materials.
- Sequence of operations: the routing sets the order of turning, milling, drilling, grinding and other steps.
- Equipment and tooling: machines and tools are assigned to each step, so the load per machine is visible.
- Machining allowances: material allowances are calculated so blanks are not oversized and scrap stays low.
- Quality check: finished parts are inspected and recorded as OK, NG or Rework, with the reason kept for follow-up.
Planning and shop-floor feedback
The production schedule is built from open orders and machine capacity. Operators record the output of semi-finished and finished products per job order, so planners see what is done, what is late and what is waiting for material. Rework and NG rates per part, machine or operation show where the process needs attention. Where customers require it, the platform can also include batch or serial number traceability and inspection documents stored per order.
How we build it
A subcontract machining shop, a manufacturer of its own machines and a maintenance workshop plan their work in very different ways. We build the platform around your own workflow and terminology instead of forcing a standard package on the team. It connects through APIs to the certified invoicing and accounting software your company already uses, so orders and costs are not typed twice. Live dashboards show machine load, open orders and quality per job. The platform is designed, built and supported by our team in Sintra, Portugal.
