What is a Net Promoter Score?
Net Promoter Score (NPS) measures how likely customers are to recommend your company, on a scale from 0 to 10. Your NPS is the percentage of promoters (score 9 or 10) minus the percentage of detractors (score 0 to 6); passives (score 7 or 8) count in the total number of answers but not in the calculation. The result ranges from -100 to +100.
The number itself is simple. The value comes from asking at the right moments, reading the comment behind each score and acting on it quickly. That is what an NPS platform is for: it sends the surveys, collects the answers, calculates the score and shows where it moves.
Surveys by email, link or QR code
Surveys go out by email with your own templates and personalised messages, scheduled after a delivery, a project milestone or a support ticket, so customers answer while the experience is still fresh. The same 0-10 question can be shared as a direct link or embedded in your website or app, like the interactive example on this page, and the platform can include a QR code for counters, events or printed material. Mailing logs show what was sent, delivered and answered.
What does an NPS dashboard show?
- Score and trend: the live NPS with promoters, passives and detractors, and how it evolves per week, month or quarter.
- Segments: the score per customer group, product, region, branch or account manager, so you see where experience differs.
- Feedback: every comment linked to its score and contact, with search and filters.
- Reports: periodic overviews for management; forecasts that relate NPS trends to retention can be included.
A low score is a chance to keep a customer. The platform can flag each detractor as the answer comes in, notify the person responsible and track the follow-up until it is closed. Promoters can be routed the other way, for example with a request for a review or referral.
Export, API and how we build it
Responses can be exported, for example to CSV or Excel, and an API makes the data available to your BI tools, CRM or ERP. Because we develop the software ourselves, it is set up around your customer journey: your own touchpoints, segments, wording and branding, connected through APIs to the systems where your customer data already lives. Our team in Sintra builds and supports the platform.
NPS results are more useful next to your other figures in business dashboards, and survey moments can be triggered from a tailor-made ERP platform. Customer replies can also be sorted by the AI inbox assistant. Contact us to set up NPS for your company.
